We've designed MindPause with privacy in mind. The Extension operates primarily on your device, and we collect minimal data necessary to provide our service.

How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide, maintain, and improve the Extension functionality

Data Storage and Security

Your data is primarily stored locally on your device using Chrome's Storage API:

  • Settings and statistics are stored in Chrome's Sync Storage, which may sync across your devices if you're signed into Chrome
  • Larger data items (like custom sounds or models) are stored in Chrome's Local Storage
  • All data is stored according to Chrome's security standards

For premium features, minimal data may be transmitted to our servers to verify subscription status. This data is encrypted in transit using industry-standard TLS/SSL protocols.

Analytics and Third-Party Services

The Extension may collect anonymous usage statistics to help us improve our product. This analytics collection:

  • Is opt-in and disabled by default
  • Only occurs if you explicitly provide consent
  • Can be disabled at any time through the Extension settings
  • Does not include any personally identifiable information

For premium features, we use the following third-party services:

  • Chrome Web Store API (for processing payments and verifying subscriptions)
  • Our backend API (for premium feature verification)

Children's Privacy

Our Extension is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected information from a child under 13, please contact us to have it removed.
